Jim Brooks has been involved with the Beech Mountain community ever since its inception in the late 1960s. The Greensboro, NC, native managed an inn for a year right after he was graduated from college before signing on to sell property for Beech Mountain’s original developer. Jim later formed Beechwood Realty and has been a leading agent in the community ever since, earning the High Country's first Realtor of the Year award. He is also a recent recipient of the High Country Association of Realtors "Outstanding Community Service Award” for his work as a founding member of the local fire department, Director of the local Chamber of Commerce and the many community committees and boards on which he serves. His knowledge of Beech Mountain is as deep as anyone’s, a wonderful asset for customers to tap during a tour of the area.
