Ron Cerrudo, director of golf instruction at The Daniel Island Club for the last 13 years, has been named the top golf instructor in the state of South Carolina. A Golf Digest organized panel of teachers nationwide participate in the voting, which ranks teachers by state as well as the top 50 nationwide.
A former PGA tour professional and winner of three championships, Cerrudo, who is a former PGA tour pro and winner of three tour events, has represented the United States as a member of both the Walker Cup and World Cup teams. After his successful Tour career, Cerrudo taught golf for 23 years on Hilton Head Island before moving the Daniel Island in 2002.
Daniel Island Club comprises two highly ranked golf courses, one by Rees Jones and the other by Tom Fazio.
