Perennially ranked in the top 10 golf courses in South Carolina and among Golf Digest’s 100 nationally, the original R. T. Jones designed Chanticleer Course at Greenville Country Club (reworked by Rees Jones in 2001) is as refined as many of the estate homes that surround it. Known as “the club” in the Greenville area since it was founded in 1905, Greenville CC sports two 18-hole layouts (the other is Riverside, which holds its own in state rankings as well and was re-designed in 2007 by the respected Brian Silva).
