Most of the undulations on the Arthur Hills designed Morgan River golf course at the Dataw Island Club in St. Helena, SC, are on the greens, but at the home hole, Hills' hills are along the left side of the fairway, just waiting to gobble up an errant shot. I liked Dataw, both the community and its two excellent golf courses -- Tom Fazio designed the other. Real estate price to value ratio is among the best I have encountered in my four years of Golf Community Reviews, although the community is approaching its silver anniversary and some of the homes may need a little updating. But from what I encountered, the golf courses are quite up to date.
